Brussels/Amsterdam

We landed in Charleroi and took a shuttle into the city, and had a couple of hours to kill before catching the Flixbus to Amsterdam. This was the only time we had to walk around Brussels, and since we had to walk from Gare du Midi to Bruxelles-Nord, we had the perfect opportunity to see some of the must-see spots of Brussels.

After a quick lunch of bread and cheese at Delirium, we rushed to Bruxelles-Nord to catch our Flixbus to Amsterdam. Having woken up very early that morning, I slept for almost the entirety of the bus ride but managed to catch glimpses of windmills and Belgian farmlands. Our first course of action at Amsterdam was to get a day tram/bus pass for 7 euros, catch a bus to the central station, and check in to Bob's Youth Hostel-- a small but tall building with sticker-covered walls and the steepest spiral stairs I've ever climbed (like most staircases in Amsterdam).

We left soon to grab a bite to eat and roam the streets of Amsterdam, go to the Anne Frank house, and marvel at the city's night life and lights.
