Iceland -- where most of the population believe in elves, and rotten shark and fermented fish are delicacies. Reykjavik is a city where we can choose our own adventure (literally, since trudging through ice and snow from one adventure to the next is in itself an adventure), and that is exactly what we did. From staying in a hostel where hipsters would feel at home, to listening to wonderful folklore and elf stories, to witnessing amazing natural phenomena like the Gullfoss Waterfall and the Geysir, and attending an Icelandic chamber music concert at Harpa, this was the trip of a lifetime.
